Liberty hangs out with Teddy the horse , show off his beautiful colour .
I remember whenLibertywas born last spring ; he was one of three dame , and was livid as snow . I first ascertain him one night when he was huddled against a rock in the coop , peeping in distraint . I did n’t even know theeggsone of myhens was sitting onhad hatched . I reached in and pick him up , then put him under the biddy . I ’m sure I saved his life sentence that dark . He had no clue how to get back to his mom , and he would n’t have survived the frigidness .

So I see Liberty develop , gradually convert colour yet again . Although he stayed gray with a white headway for a twosome more weeks , it would n’t last . Eventually , his head twist dark , too and he was just a sloppy gray .
But then of a sudden , he began to blossom . It seemed like overnight , his head and frill reverse bright orange tree . His comb and wattles glowed crimson , and his earflaps contrast starkly against his face . His tail plume grew out , and were shameful with light-green highlights . I realized I not only had another cock in my thick , but a passably good - appear one at that .
Today I catch Liberty hear to sneak bits of rice bran fromTeddy , a horse , during lunch period . The sunlight was hitting his feathers just so , and he seemed to glow . Although my dream of get a white hen — or a hen that looked like a bald-pated eagle — went out the window , I ended up with handsome rooster I ’m gallant to call mine .
