Six on Saturday. November Pleasures.

1 . sort Gardeners . Last calendar week one of my preferred blogger , Gill atOff the Edge Gardeningmentioned that it was World Kindness Day . I have never heard of such a thing , but garden blogger do n’t need a especial kindness mean solar day , they are such a kind , supportive and generous caboodle all year round . So for routine one , I would like to thank two of my blogging friends for their kindness and generosity . I received two exciting packages this hebdomad . One was from my friend Cathy atRambling in the Garden . Cathy has empower in a   hydropod propagator   and I am so impressed with the healthy works with terrific roots that she transmit me in this adorable boxful .

Tony Tomeofrom Los Gatos in California   sent me all these Amaryllis seeds . It was all decently done , the software system go through customs and was secrete by DEFRA Plant Health . The seeds   have little roots showing and are ready to go . Many thanks to you both , Cathy and Tony . It was such a kickshaw to receive such exciting packages .

2.New Project . Well ,   perhaps this ca n’t be included in a November pleasure at the moment , because it will be voiceless work , but it is a joy to come . Now I have protract my winter garden I only have a minute strip of grass down the side of it as I have been nibbling at the grass for the last few years . After so much rainwater it is mostly clay and very slippery . evidently I need a proper path . I would love to have a brick one but older bricks are very expensive . I have decided to compromise and habituate the sometime brick that I have dotted about the garden and buy a few more to make brick edging with crushed rock in the center . I shall be happy to finally get rid of all the sens around here and not   have any more edge to cut .   Since I direct the first photograph I have planted the new bit of winter garden and put a stepping Harlan Fisk Stone way through the midriff . The stump is the remains of a black - leaved elder which I need to abridge to the background to get nice great leafage next year . The Pianist was so aroused when I assure him about my novel idea for a route . He did n’t say so , in fact he groan , but I have intercourse secretly he was excited . Here is where the way of life will go .

I love salvias and they are so easy from cutting that I impart the big plants out of doors to take their chance with the frost and take cuttings . But this one , Salvia corrugatais quite fresh and I will keep it at heart . I wish it for its smart blue flowers and queer , wrinkled leave .

6 . November Sunsetsare so often beautiful even if they are indecently other . They are usually one of the pleasures of November but they have been scarce this year with so much rain and swarm . In fact for the first prison term I have n’t been capable to capture one with my camera this year , so I am going to chicane and use one I took a old class when November sunsets were more plentiful .   November treats in the garden are a minute thin on the ground so we have to make the good of what we get . And perhaps if it block raining we will get one like this again shortly , along with a rainbow and a squab with an olive twig in his beak .

That sundown is a tangible beauty , wonderful sos this calendar week .

So many kickshaw this week Chloris . Your greenhouse gems are delightful and that track will look amazing . The gravel with brick edge is a sound compromise .

That ’s a fabulous sunset guess ! I do it that Oxalis too . Years ago , I see a talk by the general director for a far-famed garden nerve center who enjoin he pull together Oxalis – the audience groaned but your example show up that some are deserving investing in .

It has beautiful vivid colours what look glamorous . I bought mine onhttps://gardenseedsmarket.com/tropical-sage-pink-variety.htmland it was the first on I have grown from cum .
