SixOnSaturday
This week ’s selection from me are all focused on new growth . chiefly because that ’s about all there is to see in my garden just now !
1 – Daffodil – ‘ Jetfire ’ . A deary of mine last yr , they are just pound through the mulch I put down over the holiday . Being a tight git , I most enjoyed the prolific flowering , 2 or 3 per stem . I added another 75 of these bulbs back in the autumn , so enamoured was I.

2 – Tulip ‘ Blueberry Ripple ’ . Just nosing through the airfoil , it will be a just 2 or 3 calendar month before I see any flowers , but they are a welcome sight nonetheless . I ’ve not grow this one before , I ’m looking forward to seeing it in all its finery .
3 – Coleus seeds . I successfully grow a different smorgasbord a couple of age ago but last year ’s endeavour with these was an heroic fail . I hesitate to blame the cum , they were from a different provider , but perhaps I will have more hazard with these . We shall see . They look great embed in pots on the terrace , peculiarly if the mixture of colouring is anything like that displayed so seductively on the packaging .
4 – Clematis ‘ The President ’ . This is teeny regrowth on a teeny cutting , taken last summertime from the parent flora , itself pretty Modern to me . I have a tray of them , so if they all come back to life I shall enjoy potting them on and endeavor to ignore the brain-teaser of where the hell to embed them . I had a adorable one of these a few years back , it pretty much hatch a whole trellis control board in regal bloom for months at a time . I killed it by over - cut back it one winter . Sha n’t be making that error again .

5 – Lupin ‘ Tequila sunrise ’ . I collect this germ last summertime and sowed back in September or October . They germinated well then , as one might expect , died off as winter approached . I ’m proud of to say that they have started to re - grow . With a spot of fate I should have a couple of XII of these to plant out , space ( and slugs ) let …
6 – Hellebore seedling , likely . John K , once of this parish , perhaps soon to be again , sent me these seeds last yr . I sowed them fresh then left the tray out in the frigid frame . madly count for something to admit as my sixth item , I clear up the sycamore and oak leaves from the aerofoil to reveal these blighter . It is not impossible that they are tree diagram seedlings . This would be something of a disappointment . As is nearly always the pillow slip in this horticulture lark , time will tell .
Good hazard with the gardening this weekend , and do n’t block to check back in during the day as more tie get added .

I ’ll be back next weekend with another # SixOnSaturday .
