On a recent rainy day , I embarked on a rare “ just for fun ” shopping trip to a rather offbeat department store in a nearby Ithiel Town . I do n’t come up all that many depot too interesting up in here northerly Wisconsin — otherwise know as the middle of nowhere . So I do a lot of my shopping online . But once in a while , it ’s fun to chatter a store just to see whether anything arrest my aid .
This particular emporium is place in a big three - story building , and every flooring is positively packed withstuff . All kind of clobber . Furniture , pictures , painting , rule book , candle , DVDs , records , jewellery , glasswork , hats , sign , toys , clothes — you name it , it ’s probably there , all form in an sympathetic yet somewhat wispy and haphazard fashion .

Tool Heaven
One rather substantial section of the store was devoted to old farm tools and equipment . As you might surmise , I spent stack of time steady down through shelves and board full of hoary alloy objects . Truly , this section of the shop looked like someone had dumped their garage upside down and put a Leontyne Price shred on whatever descend out .
There were wrenches , very large wrenches to check all sizes of Nut and bolts , faded to a deadening carmine brown with age . There were a couple of previous plum bob that I pondered , and a diminished scale that seemed to work . Then I stumbled across piping wrenches and previous pair of pliers and a crescent spanner , plus a few prick that were difficult to place .

I was tempted to buy something ( or multiple somethings ) . But then it occurred to me that I already have most of these tools . This little section of the stock could have very well been a shot of my own garage . And even though I ’m a big fan of old manus prick , I do n’t require to be one of those farmers who buys old putz just because — well — we might have a use for them someday , or because we might want a backup peter , or because the price was too honorable to pass up .
In the remainder , I did n’t purchase a individual instrument , so you might say that I was a responsible shopper . I refuse the impulse to come home with any old puppet I can do without . Now if you ’ll excuse me , I did purchase an old Disney movie on VHS for $ 1 . I call for to go fire up my honest-to-goodness VCR in formulation for a movie night .
