Royal Brinkman has transformed the existing 3.5 - hectare tomato greenhouse , acquired by KP Holland for expansion , into a veggie facility . According to Royal Brinkman , the location in De Lier , The Netherlands , has been upgraded according to the new energy standards of the Green Label Greenhouse . In collaboration with KP Holland , experts from Royal Brinkman Technical Projects developed a programme that translated KP Holland ’s prerequisite into technical solutions . Royal Brinkman implemented new water , electrical , and mood control systems in the existing greenhouse . A challenge in this shift was the survive greenhouse social organization . Together with KP Holland , Royal Brinkman consider which materials and elements could be reprocess . The most complex challenge was physically connect the two localization at Kanaalweg 12 and 20 . The technicians produce connection under the route for heat and electrical link , protect by a concrete casing . Additionally , both greenhouses are connected to a single CHP installment ( Combined Heat and Power system ) . This induction supply both greenhouses with heat and electrical energy , prevent surplus energy .
KP Holland and Royal Brinkman , both family - own businesses , have work out together for decennary .
