More cute, but hungry, garden guests and the flowers they leave behind
Hey GPODers !
Today we ’re back in Rotterdam , New York exploring Maxine Brisport ’s wildlife - well-disposed garden . In suit you miss the first part ( which you should definitely check out here ) , Maxine manage with a ravenous pack of coney that do a turn on many of the plants she grows — whether they are considered “ rabbit resistant ” or not . Despite the ceaseless munching , Maxine has decided to not actively repel them and simply coexists with these cute creatures while relish whatever peak they leave behind .
Here are some more of those leftovers , as well as some great shots of those precious , but athirst , garden guests :

An perfectly beautiful iris the bunny girl leave behind for Maxine . The stunning periwinkle dreary color leads me to consider this is the variety ‘ Victoria Falls ’ ( Iris‘Victoria Falls ’ , Zones 4–9 ) .
The rabbits might have leave these alone , but what a delectable color combination ! Various refinement of purpleness in the flowers and foliage of ‘ Midnight Masquerade ’ penstemon ( Penstemon‘Midnight Masquerade ’ , Zones 3–8 ) pair absolutely with the cheerful chicken cups of Missouri even primrose ( Oenothera macrocarpa , Zones 3–8 ) and the bright lime - white-livered to orange leafage of Kodiak ® Fresh diervilla ( Diervillaxsplendens‘SMNDSS ’ , Zones 3–8 ) behind .
Another mythologic shot of one of Maxine ’s lapin residents . Quick and unsure lilliputian prey animals , it really is impressive how well she is able to photograph these garden guests . But maybe the rabbits are now so well-off in Maxine ’s garden that they ’re willing to arrest and pose as they enjoy their lunch ?

In yesterday ’s post , I remark that growing vining plants is a majuscule scheme for grow flowers up and out from hungry herbivore on the land . Another strategy is arise plants with their own defenses . A vibrant pink rose wine is not only a Hellenic beauty , but its prickly thorn make it pest repellent .
Another coloured combination from Maxine of yellow day lily , red bee balm , shining pink althea , and classic white daisies .
Another fluffy garden guest munching in the shadiness , peaking out from behind some fern .

in conclusion , a unagitated little spot to revel the garden and all its guest ! I particularly bonk the small fountain that mimics a great deal of overflowing sens and buckets . Adding a water system feature of speech to your garden always sounds like an expensive task that requires ample garden space , but with a little creativity and searching , anyone can add the soothe sound of cascading water into their landscape painting .
Thanks for share your gorgeous garden with us again , Maxine ! The GPOD community , and all those rabbit , really take account your generousness 😉
