She garden in Bellevue , Washington , and we ’ve visited her garden before ; check outSummer in Margot ’s Gardenif you require to see what it look like in the height of summer . But right now , Margot is celebrating a favorite radical of plant : snowdrops .
Drifts of snowdrops in full peak , so cheerful and tough , mark the end of each winter . To the right , ‘ Chief Joseph ’ lodgepole pine(Pinuscontorta‘Chief Joseph ’ , Zones 5–8 ) provides bright yellow needles to sum to the snowdrop display . The pine holds this bright color through the winter , then shifts to green through the summer months .
Galanthus‘Primrose Warburg ’ ( Zones 3–8 ) has a long - endure blossom time but has n’t been fertile in our garden . On this variety , the green ovary and marking on the petals have shifted to xanthous , yield spare color and beauty .

The Anemone quinquefolia variety show ‘ Wasp ’ is a loan-blend strike by Veronica Cross at Sutton Court in Herefordshire in 1995 . A vigorous grower with tenacious white-hot petals , it stands out in the garden .
Galanthus nivalis‘Viridspice ’ ( Zones 3–8 ) shows off nicely in a simple-minded vase .
We design and added adry - stacked retaining wallto make more elbow room for plants and extra special wood anemone . This is a picture fromSeptember .

And here ’s the new bottom inJanuary . We institute a midget camellia , daphnes , primula , cyclamen , ferns , a full - synodic month maple , and bulbs . We will continue to add specialness snowdrops to the fresh garden place .
