It is flowers expo hebdomad in Quito , and many visitors take this opportunity to chit-chat farm . FloralDaily did n’t miss a beatnik either . Yesterday , a twenty-four hour period before the flower shows Agriflor and Expo Flor Ecuador opened their doors , we visited the show and trial run greenhouse of Dutch breeder De Ruiter , the farm of rose grower Rosaprima and gypsophila grower Flodecol . The hitch was organise by Expoflores , the Ecuadorian association of flush exporters and also the PDA of Expo Flor Ecuador .

De RuiterFor two year now , De Ruiter has been trialing their variety at Anniroses in Tabacando . They moved to this location because of the EL . At their previous location , they were at an altitude of 2,500 m , now they ’re at 2,900 m. " We wanted to bring all varieties to the weather condition most farms are in . " Their show and trial greenhouse covers an area of 1.6 ha . Currently , they are build a young power and gestate it to be finish in about three calendar month .

During our sojourn , the squad of De Ruiter explained to us more about their new and differently laid out test and show greenhouse and the pick process of their varieties .
RosaprimaAt Rosaprima , one of the biggest rosaceous farms in Ecuador , they grow 151 go up varieties on 136 ha in four farm . They are continuously investing in amend their crop by using new technologies , methods to slenderize their environmental impingement and serving the good work and social conditions for their workers . FlodecolThe last stop was at gypsophila farm Flodecol , one of the seven farms of Much Flowers . At this 30 ha farm , only genus Gypsophila are produced , and the Gypsophila from all their three farm are processed at this location . We got the opportunity to see the process from growing , to opening , compact and cooling of these flowers .

Besides gypsophilas , which is Much Flowers ' master harvest , the group comprise farms that raise alstroemerias , summertime blossom , and they just late bought a rose farm . Their current production acreage covers 80 ha . " We are one of the fastest growing farms in Ecuador " , says Juan Jose Albuja .
