Aeonium’Mardi Gras ' is a patent hybrid ( USPP21407 ) byAltman Plants . It was created by Renee O’Connell in 2007 and results from a cross between an unnamedAeoniumhybrid andAeonium’Velour ' .

Aeonium’Mardi Gras ' is a spectacular succulent that forms little potato of fleshy , spoon - shaped leaf with unique tricolour variegation . It is a thickset plant that can spring up over 12 inches ( 30 cm ) tall and produces offsets from the outer doughnut of the main rosette .
