I took a little visit to Fredericksburg, Texas for a painting workshop with Nancy Medina and I fell in love with the area. Join me for a little snippet.
Recently I took a lilliputian sojourn to Fredericksburg Texas . Fredericksburg is Texas wine land , or so I am told and you get an inkling as you drive in to town and see many tasting rooms .
The glorious charm of diachronic buildings turn into boutiques , tasting rooms along with delicious restaurants is inviting and so relaxing .
Some are correct on Main Street while others are tucked down little jail alleyways .

This winery below also boasts a lilac farm . It was close when I pass by , much to my disappointment . I wanted to expect what kind of lavender this was , it was such a deep risque purpleness and was very upright growing . The good deal looked like concrete but without touching them I could not be sure .
You could not miss that this was a winery , they had wine-colored barrel after wine-colored barrel stack in front of the building . Many may see wine but I see bloom containers when view barrel ! ( I am luff because I was being high-and-mighty and instruct the gal taking the photo for me )
The town inspired the garden buff me with its colorful jam packed plantings of windowpane box , containers and in little bottom . peak everywhere . So many combos and style .

These geranium were glow from across the street . Such vibrancy !
Old ruddy motortruck are one of my favorite things , and this one was an eye - catcher . Parked in front of a real estate office it take hold of my attention with the scaffolding of the pick up bottom … you will get it in the next photo .
Chickens , they were alloy and perfect with the cask . I need some ! really I want that truck too . Do n’t you think it would be wonderful with Flower Patch Farmhouse painted on the door and across the tailboard ?

I toured some back streets to get a looking at at some of the quaint historic homes . Many have been turned into B&B ’s .
The gingerbread trim can give each square box house such charm and individuality . The warm colored stone was also a common idea . Most of these sweet little places were what is called Sunday house . They were the town dwellings of the ranchers that lived on the land area they farmed and they get to town for worship .
Along with the stone family there were forest clad menage too .

I was here in Fredericksburg for a painting workshop withNancy Medinaso my days were spend paint . I will have to descend back to Fredericksburg to enjoy just touring the town with its many pleasure . There is tons to do both in townsfolk and in the outlying areas . rock to climb , museums to inflict along with the winery and distilleries . One that especially take hold of my attending was call Fat Ass Ranch and Winery . decidedly one to tour .
I ca n’t wait to revisit some of the dear grub I have savour in a farsighted while . This place was one of many that was pure dining delight .
This is only a smidge of what I take in and photoed . presently I will station about my painting track and about the Wildseed farm I visited….twice . It is full of garden good .

verify to putFredericksburgon your travelling pail list , it is so deserving it . One affair I failed to remark , the multitude are howling , warm , welcoming and just obviously heavy folks !
Happy Travels !
